Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM)

Also known as the Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia in English term. Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM) was established on February 18, 1992 to promote the real understanding of Islam in order to sanctify the true teachings of the religion without indulging in rhetorics or diverging from the correct path. In promoting the understanding of Islam on a global scale, IKIM provides an open and free environment for everyone to voice his or her opinions in addressing pertinent issues. Activities of IKIM are to carry out intensive research activities which emphasize the role of Islam and the Ummah; to publish books and magazines for public consumption; to organise conference and dialogues aimed at enriching intellectual discourse and to seek solutions to prevailing issues; and to co-operate with local and international organisations in undertaking joint programmes for mutual benefits.
