The Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association of Malaysia

Also known as the Persatuan Hainan Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan in Malay term. Founded in 1889 and known as Keng Fu Wee Kwan, a venue to foster goodwill among people of Hainanese descent. In 1918, the Association built its own building and renamed Selangor Keng Chew Wee Kwan to house its office, the Thean Hou Temple and Chiao Nan School. In 1976, the Association applied for the construction of the magnificent Thean Hou Temple cum association office building. The Temple was completed in 1987. In 1991, the Association was renamed The Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association. The Association offers community services such as marriage registration, study loan and award and manages the Thean Hou Hall where cultural and religious activities, wedding dinners, banquets, charity dinners are held.
