Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC)
An agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). Established in 1962 as the National Productivity Council (NPC). With the National Productivity Centre (Incorporation) Act A801 1991 coming into effect, it became known as the National Productivity Corporation (NPC). NPC is official known as Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) on February 21, 2008 and the act is now known as Malaysia Productivity Corporation Act (Incorporated) 1966. The main objectives of Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) are providing value-added information on productivity, quality, competitiveness and best practices through research and databases; developing human capital and organisational excellence for building a knowledge-based society through training systems development and best practices; and nurturing innovative and creative culture through P&Q promotion and partnership programmes.
