Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA)

Also known as Lembaga Kemajuan Perindustrian Malaysia (LKPM) in Malay term. Established in 1967. The government's principal agency for the promotion and coordination of industrial development in Malaysia. Services include providing information on the opportunities for investment and facilitating companies looking for joint venture partners. MIDA also evaluates applications for manufacturing licenses and expatriate posts, tax incentives for manufacturing activities, tourism, R&D, training institutions and software development and duty exemption on raw materials, components and machinery.
