Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA)

Also known as Public Service Department (PSD) in English term. Established on August 22, 1934 as the Malayan Establishment Office. On July 1, 1954, the Malayan Establishment Office, Service Branch of the Chief secretary's Office and the Establishment Division, Federal Treasury merged and known as the Federal Establishment Office. In 1967, it was renamed Establishment Office of Malaysia and on August 15, 1968, again renamed Public Service Department-PSD (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam-JPA). An agency under the Prime Minister's Department and is responsible towards human resource management of the nation's public sector through training and sponsorship programmes.
