Fire And Rescue Department Malaysia (Bomba)
Commonly known as the Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia or simply Bomba in Malay term. Fire services in Malaysia started in 1883 with the establishment of volunteer fire services in Selangor. A permanent fire and rescue team was formed in 1895. In 1946, the Malayan Union Fire Services was established. The Fire Services was consolidated into a Department on January 1, 1976. On January 8, 1977, Fire Services Department (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Bomba) was renamed Fire and Rescue Department (Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat), which was officially announced on February 21, 1997.
