A company wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated.

Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP)'s main objective is to administer and manage two guarantee schemes namely the Working Capital Guarantee Scheme (WCGS) and Industry Restructuring Financing Guarantee Scheme (IRFGS) announced by Ministry of Finance in the Dewan Rakyat under the second stimulus package on March 10, 2009. The stimulus package amounting RM60 billion is to enhance foreign and domestic investor confidence in the Malaysian Economy.

The Government of Malaysia will share the credit risk (50%-80%) with financial institutions that provide loans to eligible companies, through a guarantee cover provided to the financial institution. This will encourage financial institutions to continue lending to SMEs.

Schemes
  1. Working Capital Guarantee Scheme Facility (WCGS)
    Minimum financing limit: RM50,000
    Maximum financing limit: RM10 million per company
    Guarantee fee: 0.5% p.a. payable upfront
    Loan tenure: Up to 5 years
    Objective: To assist viable companies with shareholder's fund of not more than RM20 million to gain access to working capital financing.
    Status: Closed as at October 26, 2009 as the RM7 billion allocated has been fully subscribed.
  2. Industry Restructuring Financing Guarantee Scheme (IRFGS)
    Minimum financing limit: RM50,000
    Maximum financing limit: RM50 million per company
    Guarantee fee: 0.5% p.a. payable upfront
    Loan tenure: Up to 10 years
    Objective: To promote investment that increases productivity, has high value added activities and promotes greater application of green technology activities.
    Status: Closed as at December 31, 2010 as application date has expired.
  3. 10MP Working Capital Guarantee Scheme Facility (10MP WCGS)
    Minimum financing limit: RM50,000
    Maximum financing limit: RM5 million per company
    Guarantee fee: 0.75% p.a. payable upfront
    Loan tenure: Up to 5 years
    Objective: To promote investment that increases productivity, has high value added activities and promotes greater application of green technology activities.
    Status: Open to bumiputera applications (extended to December 31, 2014 and the guarantee tenure is also extended to December 31, 2018). Closed for non-bumiputera applications as at December 31, 2011 as as the RM1.5 billion allocated has been fully subscribed.
