Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL)

Also known as the City Hall of Kuala Lumpur (CHKL or KLCH) in English term. DBKL is a local authority which administrates Kuala Lumpur city centre and other areas in Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur Municipal Council (Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Lumpur), which was later replaced by Federal Capital Commission (Pesuruhjaya Ibu Kota), was established in 1946 to replace the Sanitary Board. On February 1, 1972, Kuala Lumpur was bestowed the status of City and the Commissioner became known as the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur and the Federal Capital Commission became known as the City Hall of Kuala Lumpur.
