Malaysia Energy Centre

Commonly known as the Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (PTM) in Malay term. Established on May 12, 1998 as a non-profit company under the Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia and governed by a Board of Directors. The functions of PTM are an agent for public and private energy sectors; guardian or repository of a national energy database; coordinator and lead manager in energy research, development and demonstration projects; think-tank on energy via consultancy services; and promoter of national energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) programmes. PTM is a one-stop focal point for linkages with the universities, research institutions, industries and other various national and international organisations on energy matters.
