Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation

Also known as Perbadanan Kemajuan Kraftangan Malaysia. Commonly known as Malaysian Handicraft or Kraftangan Malaysia. Established in 1973 under the name Malaysian Handicraft Board and later known as Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation in 1979 under the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation Act 1979 or Perbadanan Kemajuan Kraftangan Malaysia Act 1979. The Corporation is an agency under the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Malaysia and is the country's leading craft agency. It plays a vital and important role in the promotion of traditional skill and craftsmanship; development of the handicraft industry; assisting craftsmen towards the use of modern methods of production; and promote the marketing and export of handicraft products.
