National Archives of Malaysia (Arkib)

Also known as Arkib Negara Malaysia in Malay term. Established on December 1, 1957 as the Public Records Office. Renamed the National Archives of Malaysia in 1963. Its functions are to collect, procure and preserve records of national and historical value; provide reference and research facilities to government departments and the public to carry out research; and provide advisory services to the government departments regarding systematic management of records. The official site features archive search, memorials, publications, today in history and record management.
