Institute for Poultry Development
Also known as the Institut kemajuan Ternakan Ayam in Malay term. Previously known as Poultry Breeding and Research Station, prior to 1972. Officially opened on September 22, 1962 in Johor Bahru. The institute's functions are to do research and development in poultry production, management and nutrition; to train and transfer of technology to departmental staff, entrepreneurs, farm personnels and other target groups; act as a specialised centre for services, references and advisory of information on poultry; and to produce quality quail breeding stock to be distributed to entrepreneurs.
