Formerly known as the Bank Pertanian Malaysia (Agricultural Bank of Malaysia). Bank Pertanian Malaysia was renamed Agrobank Malaysia on April 1, 2008. Established on September 1, 1969. Agrobank is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Malaysia. The bank is responsible for organising, providing, supervising and coordinating credit facilities for agriculture in Malaysia. Agrobank Malaysia offers financing packages to develop the agricultural, livestock and fishery sectors in Malaysia. The bank also offers a variety of loan (term and revolving loan, micro credit), deposits (Simpanan PATRIOT, PATRIOT Perdana-GIRO, fixed deposit), Islamic banking and retail banking.
