JARING Communications Sdn. Bhd. (JARING)
JARING introduced the internet to the Malaysian community in 1992. In June 1997, JARING became the first ISP in South East Asia to install T3 line, which gives JARING subscribers faster access to the internet. In 1999, JARING launched SuperJARING, an internet backbone infrastructure which travels at the speed of 2.5 Gigabits per second transmission, making it the fastest and longest IP-over-fibre backbone service available in the world at that time. JARING was later established as a spin-off company under MIMOS Berhad on April 1, 2005. In December 2006, the Ministry of Finance officially takes over JARING from MIMOS Berhad. Products and services offered by JARING include Broadband Flite, Dedicated Access, Dial Up, Global Roaming, Office Broadband, OneComm Prepaid, Home Computer Security, QuikSurfer, Secure Internet Data Center, Secure VPN, Secure Solution, Web Hosting and Safe Guided Internet. The JARING official website also features Self Care (Manage Account Online) and Webmail.
