ALZip can zip files into 8 different archives:
- ZIP, EGG, ALZ, TAR, TBZ, TGZ, LZH, JAR
and
unzip 40 different compression file formats:

In ALZip version 8 and above, EGG format can be used. EGG file supports Unicode and powerful compressing methods, compresses large-capacity files and has compatibility in different platforms.
