The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, locally called the 'Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación' is the highest court in Mexico. Mexico does not have a mandatory bar association which regulates or represents the legal profession in Mexico. However, there are few nationwide voluntary bar associations in Mexico. A Mexican lawyer licensed to practice law in Mexico must have obtained a practice certificate known as a 'Cédula Profesional' and be registered with the Ministry of Public Education, General Office of Professions (Dirección General de Profesiones). |
