I have got an education loan. Normally I just pay the interest for the loan cause I got a grace period of 5 years. After 2 years the loan installment started. I cannot afford to pay cause at that time I was still studying so the bank uplift my deposit to pay, after email to the bank they say I need to write in to credit management for them to make changes. My Letter of Offer dated 10/6/2009 - under the repayment clause it stated "Grace period of a maximum 5 years is allowed before the installments commences, during such period interest is to be served monthly."

Its been half a year, so can I appeal to the bank to tell them wipe off the CCRIS record, or tell them to write a letter to clarify my situation...

Now I am working and need to buy a car. Scared my loan can't be approved...

Hope you all can give me some suggestions.

@hong

Its been half a year, so can I appeal to the bank to tell them wipe off the CCRIS record, or tell them to write a letter to clarify my situation...

1.  Write to who? The DGI of MoH? Jabatan Insolvensi Malaysia? Jabatan Imigresen?

2.  Bank has to notify BNM by banking policies.

3.  BNM CCRIS is mandated by LAWS. Any defaults records will remain inside BNM CCRIS for at least 12 months. Cannot be wiped off.. !!

can give me some suggestions
I am working and need to buy a car

Suggestions:-
In the event your car loan has been rejected, any rejection will be documented in BNM CCRIS by the application of laws and policies, then you go to work by the following :-

* Take BUS 11
* Take train service (public transportation)
* Bicycle
* Take motorcycle
* Car pool
* Grabcar
* Rent a room near your workplace

during such period interest is to be served monthly
You have defaulted right? So no qualms being blacklisted.

Wiping off the record off CCRIS (after 12 months) can mean following situations:

a) The loan has been repaid in full

b) It is under Legal Action which will also be noted inside CCRIS.

c) The bank did not notify Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) of any changes.
