Debt Collector Harassment

Clearly you all know how I landed here. I received a phone call this morning from Zur* Associates namely Tuan Azmi (why in the world would you introduce yourself as Tuan, how conceited!). He sounded very condescending and he had threatened to forward a letter of Permasalahan Tatatertib to my superior regarding my problem and how I am a feckless employee to my organization. He swiftly recited the names of my superior in full along with their designation. How did he obtain these in the first place? Because he called my subordinates yesterday! He asked a lot of nonsense questions to a staff and made a point that he's going to release a summon to me should I refuse to return his call. His exact words were:

"Saya dari pejabat guaman. Kami nak buat tuntutan bayaran kepada Puan XXX, kalau dia tak call balik hari ini kami terpaksa keluarkan surat saman" of course my staff frantically contacted me and blurted out the news in front of everyone! I don't blame her, she was pretty shock as much as myself.

Now, I clearly know that I'm wrong for not keeping my financial on track but things happen and my hands are tied. I don't need this kind of people having the audacity to disclose my problem to my staff.

When he called this morning, I managed to speak calmly. But he just had to provoke, first with this question, "Puan kenapa tak call saya balik?", then he bombarded me with condescending questions.. I answered calmly saying that I'm at the verge of retrenchment and opting for Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK). I told him also that I'm meeting a Maybank officer to discuss things thoroughly. I guess he was pretty annoyed that I kept my composure so he said this, "Okay tak apa Puan, saya akan teruskan forward surat kepada majikan Puan" and hung up. How classy of an associate!

Now, if he is genuinely representing Maybank as an associate, he shouldn't do any of these.

We'll see how things go. I shall update the progress. Thanks to lawyerment at least I know I'm not alone facing these people.

Pening kepala...debt collector ni asyik call menakut nakutkan kita...
1. Nak bankrapkan kita
2. Nak bekukan akaun
3. Nak sita harta benda
4. Nak kena bayar 40% dari jumlah hutang...jika tak bayar dlm masa 2 minggu diorg akan proceed terus noted bangkrap atau muflis selepas tarikh 2 mgu tu.

Bila kita ckp mana ada rm nk bayar dgn jumlah besarcm tu....boleh lak dia ckp..buat la pinjam pada sesapa je....janji bley byr sbb bank panel dan bank negara yg arahkan buat mcm tu bukan diorg.

Fuh bikin gila mcm ni.... call dekat 100 kali ni...nk angkat pn mcm malas sbb dah mmg diorg paksa auruh byr....dari 40% boleh lak turun ke 30% dari jumlah...then secara kekerasan lak tu mintak suruh bayar...dah kita ckp byr sikit2...dia kata x boleh...nti jumlah hutang akan bertambah.....mau x gila dibuatnya...tensen betul.

Difahamkan person in charge ni dia paksa2 suruh byr sbb diirg akan dpt komisen dari kampeni diaorg kerja? Betul Kan?

Then ada yg bgtau....selagi tidak dpt surat formal dari pihak bank.... selagi itu boleh buat byrn secara sedikit2 janji konsisten dan nampak la arah tuju byrn nya...biarpun sebulan rm300 sekalipun...ini saya difahamkan pd mereka2 yg pernah hadapi situasi ini.

So mcm mana saya nk buat jika mereka asyik call...dan yg x bestnya mereka akan ke rumah ibu bapa kita dan mendesak pulak org tua kita utk bayar bagi pihak dan nak sita rumah.....ini buatkan org tua kita bertambah risau....dah ckp jgn ganggu ibu bapa kita...tp mereka ttp dtg dgn anta surat merah (2 surat dlm masa 1 minggu) dtg ke rumah org tua kita. Ni buat lagi kita tensen..libatkan lak org tua...mmg x berhati perut betul..nak kan duit org dan komisen.

Bila kita nk byr sikit2 diorg ckp x boleh...bila pihak bank swnsiri yg call..diorg ckp boleh byr janji konsisten...bank terima...diorg nk tgk komitment....jgn diam terus.
