If you ignore, it is like admitting to whatever amount Alliance bank says you owe. And you will be bankrupt very soon, they work very fast! I know for sure - I am being sued by them.

It is strange that:

1. They are suing you in Penang.

2. Your case is heard at the High Court instead of Lower Courts. You must owe them hundreds of thousands of RM, huh?

You should contact Alliance bank soonest possible to find out more about this advertisement.

Have you bought the book

How to Represent Yourself in Court to Fight Banks - William Chan

from MPH or Popular? It costs only RM 15.
It will help you make the right decision.

Thans for your reply 1818.

I start use Alliance Bank credit card in the year 2000, due to my business drop and i have to cease my business in the year 2004. Since 2004 i work as part timer with few clients. I stop to make any repayment to my Alliance Bank credit card. Allance Bank start chasing me the credit card debts but i just ignored their legal letter. In the October 2008 i have move from Penang to Kulim. Because of that, i never received any Legal letters from Alliance Bank. Today i received a call from my sister, she told me alliance Bank published in the newspaper and want to sue me for bankruptcy.

Now i have few problems and seek for the advice.

1) My priciapl amount as at 204 is arounf RM12,000

2) I have to attend to the court ?

3) Any way to solve my problem.

Thank you.

kstan,

Why not check if you have been stopped from travelling out of M'sia at this website, http://sspi2.imi.gov.my.

If you can no longer leave Bolehland, then there is a good chance you are already a bankrupt. To be 100% sure, visit http://www.insolvensi.gov.my, look for their office nearest you, go there to ask in person.

If you are not a bankrupt yet, call Alliance bank, find out what is the deal, and to help you delay by being made a bankrupt/buy time to think what to do next, you MUST buy that book vkpc mentioned.

Go to http://www.insolvensi.gov.my, look for their office nearest you, go there to ask in person if you're already a bankrupt, if you are, you will need to settle your debt with JIM, Jabatan Insolvensi M'sia, then your problem solved. If no $ or not enough $ to settle, then, get ready for 'bankrupty prison for life' till you can settle or till law is changed.

If you are asked to attend court, maybe you are not a bankrupt yet. Visit JIM to be sure.

Once you're sure you are going to attend court, I am sure someone here would tell you what to do next. Find out if it is Penang or KL first, then, we'll 'talk' some more.

This forum and that book vkpc mentioned are tools to help you DELAY being made a bankrupt.

If your case is in KL and you are not going to attend, does this mean being made a bankrupt is no big deal to you?

What exactly do you want solved?
