Went to go buy a phone in december and was going to pay via my debit card, i was using a foreign debit card and they swiped it at the shop then called the bank to verify idendity, i did not have my passport on me so they told me i couldnt pay with the card and only by cash, so i went to withdraw the cash and purchased the phone, i then left the country and went back home for holidays, i received my statemnt showing that the transaction has gone through, so in oher words i paid twice, my bank tried contactin their bank but no response at all, i am now back in malaysia and went to see them thinking that they would reverse the transaction, but to my shock they saying its my banks fault and dont want to help at all, please need advice on what further actions can be taken

you can call the FMB ( financial mediation bureau Tel : 03-2272 2811 Fax : 03-2272 1577) their decision binds financial institutions like credit card companies and banks.. if that does not go well, call MEDIATION MALASYSIA
