Hi, I was hired as the Chief of Accounts Department with a Taiwan listed company. My job scope limits in Malaysia but when I find the environment too aggressive and the executive MD too hostile, I decided to resign by paying 3 month notice in lieu.

My request was rejected, and on that day, Md threw me death threat saying that he could pay 10times of the sum to get someone to bury me. He also expand the threat to hurt my families. I was seriously terrified and can't sleep well since that day.

I did filled in the internal resignation form which was dated 9th Sep 2015, fear due to the death threat, I had to promise to stay to work until they find replacement. However I do not intend to stay any longer after the 3 month period.

Two weeks after the event, MD wanted to send me to Taiwan for official training which is required by Taiwan listing board OTC. No news about my replacement and Everyday I worked under the influence of death threat. Slowly I developed the intention to end my life just like that as I really don't feel like staying.

What should I do?

You should make a police report immediately and then proceed to see a lawyer who could issue a legal letter to the employer.

Hi Arun thanks for the reply.

I am not thinking to sue the company but really wish to leave the company as peaceful as possible.

I intend to appoint a lawyer to represent me in the clearance process and handing over the resignation again. As time goes by, my amnesia is getting more serious added with hypertension and I have been seeing psychiatrist.
