I have tendered my resignation on 28 January stating I would serve three months notice as per the term set in my employment contract.

On 30 January, I received a letter from my superior stating that my last working day would be on 31 January as the company would pay me in lieu of the notice up til 28 April.

Would like to know, when should they pay the salary in lieu to me? Can they hold it for two, three months? The date and amount are not stated in the acceptance letter by the company.

Thank you.
