Laying off conditions

Dear Lawyerment,

Is there a clause in the Employment Law or a standard practice that provides a certain amount of time for personnels to find a new job after being asked to leave on the grounds of organisational re-structuring?

Please correct me if I am wrong, a VSS has to be accepted by the personnel to activate it, otherwise the employer will have to place them under other suitable jobs within the organisation with the same benefits and pay?
