Hi I heard the typical legal fee is 20% of the court award if the case is tried in court and won. What would be the legal fee for cases lost or settled outside court ?

Hi there

If the case gets settled out of  court, the fees remain 20% of the settlement amount. However if the case is lost, then there  is obviously no 20% since 20% of 0 is 0. Usually in that case lawyers would charge one month of the last drawn salary as fees.
