Dear Sir,

I'm working in a well established company for more than 2 years. currently I'm on unpaid leave (my company have granted my unpaid leave)from 19 July 2013 till 20 October 2013  due to family issue, however I would like to resign by giving 1 month notice. My question is, can I give my notice now while I'm on unpaid leave or do I have to work for a month and submit my notice?

Please advice.

Hi there

If your going to resign now, you would need to pay the Company 1 month of your salary. If you don't intend to do so, then when you return to work on 20 October 2013, you can tender your resignation letter and serve your 1 month notice period.
