Hi. I was told Industrial Court matter takes a long time. It may be a few years before a case is heard. If the other party tried to delay, the industrial court usually will grant their wishes.

I would like to know if there's a way to expedite the industrial court hearing and prevent undue delay from the other party? I am not sure I will be able to handle it if the whole case takes a few years to hear.

Hi there

Delay of the case is largely attributed to lawyers because lawyers take up many cases and as such can't take early dates. As such it is important for you to find a lawyer who is not only competent but also can give a commitment to finish your case at the soonest. Generally a case can be concluded within 1 to 2 years if there are not many postponements.
