1. Always a objective person:
The most essential characteristic of a good lawyer. When valuing or dealing with any problem, you must be always objective. Sometimes some benefits or pressure cause you to give wrong judges. Being objective in every situation will make your name respective.

2. Hard workings:
It goes without saying that the practice of law requires hard work (and as an aside you should be working hard right now collecting as much information as you can about how to become a lawyer).

As a lawyer, you will be required to decipher and master complex legal questions. Sometimes, some questions will not have clear answers, and finding the best avenue to proceed will take a great deal of time and energy to discover.

This element of the lawyer personality should be expected, and most likely you already possess this lawyer personality trait as otherwise you would not be researching how to become a lawyer.

3. Humane
Occasionally, you need to be humane to help someone in specific case (defend for a very poor person, or an equal affair without benefit...)

This is a noble qualification of a lawyer.

I am not a lawyer but I am reading this.

The legal profession is no longer as noble as in the past 20 years ago. Dog eat Dog world now!

However there are still some good lawyers around.. but very, very few notable ones.

"Dog eat dog world", the first time I have heard this term, maybe you're pretty serious but it's true as you said. And we need to accept the sad fact by positive thought.
