What do you think if a company decides that they do not want any HR policies. They do have benefits in place but formalising in a policy format is not welcome as this will not give them the flexibility to apply "management discretion" where necessary. I personally believe that having HR policies will help to protect the organization, however, whether this is required by law, I wasn't sure. Any thoughts?
