I am a student in one of the college in KL. I will be graduated this August. I (Chinese Indonesian) and my fiancee (a Malaysian man) are planning to get married. Is there any website that we can visit to get the correct information and procedures about our marriage? Any legal regulations that we can refer to since I am an Indonesian and he is a Malaysian? Thanks.

A foreign lady getting married with a Malaysian Man can easily stay in Malaysia without much hustle and hassle.

But NOT that easy for a foreign man to stay in Malaysia with a Malaysian Wife. (A foreign Husband should not depend on a Malaysian Wife). This is the Beauty of our Malaysian Laws.

You can apply for Dependant's Pass, meaning it is normal and natural for you to depend on your Malaysian husband. You will also need to apply for Work Pass should you want to work after marriage.

In short, the husband should provide the wife with food and shelter etc., hope you get the point; There shouldn't be any problem for you.

Best wishes, good luck.

I did this before and don't try on this one... marrying a foreigner. There are plenty of Malaysian to choose from and I did not take this advise before. Now there are so many immigration laws and not worth the love as even true love also gets tired off one day. The marriage between foreigner and Malaysian is such complicated issue.

A piece of advise as I happen to open your mail... When every thing is smooth running it is fine but when it is not... boy!  You had it... so just think twice please. God Bless You.
