marriage registered

Im a Filipina married to a Malaysian man for 20 years. We were legally married in the Philippines. How would I know if our marriage is also registered in Malaysia.  My husband also do not stay with me and our son, he comes to Philippines only every 6 months and stays with us for 5 days max. Would there be a way of knowing his civil status in Malaysia? If ever I decide to divorce him, do we have the right to get financial support for my son who happens to be a special child (austism).
