CAN DEBT COLLECTOR FOR CREDIT CARD VISIT MY HOME AFTER 15 YEARS

I am so curious to find the solutions to my problems, hope notalawyer can advise me on these issues:

Back in 2008, I had 2 credit cards and due to INCOME CUT  , I haven't paid those debts until just recently in AUG 2022, ONE DEBT COLLECTOR called demanding payment.. I checked with in CTOS, there was no records at CTOS . The debt collectors said if i do not take action they will pay a visit to my home .
 
Is it legal for them to do so ?
And what are the debts now after more than 15 years ?
