Standard computerized reply from BNM :

Please be informed that each bank has set up a designated Complaint Unit to handle enquiries or first level complaints from their customers. Hence, please refer your complaint/enquiries to the relevant bank first, in line with Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) complaint and redress procedures as per the following link:

You may address the matter to relevant bank's Complaint Unit and seek assistance to seek clarification and resolve the issue. For your easy reference, contact information about bank's Complaint Unit is available at

In view of the upcoming court hearing, you may want to seek AKPK's assistance or advise via chatbox, refer prior to attending the hearing.

Thereafter, if you are not satisfied with the response given by the Complaint Unit, you may forward the complaint along with the necessary details and response received to BNM via the following link:
Thank you.

@ Ms Zue

The complaint was levied at the bank for gross negligence in filing excessive POD amount to JIM for a bankrupt (11 years ago). There was another bank who filed POD 4 years after date of bankruptcy, thus filed an amount with extra years of interests + default interest on credit card balances (did not file lawsuit on debtor). There was no Judgment Debt accorded.

Section 43(6) of the Insolvency Act 1967 [Act 360] [1]:

Interest on debts

A creditor can only claim interest on your debt up to the date of the bankruptcy order but they will not get interest on their claim accruing after the date of the bankruptcy order as conferred by section 43(6) of the Insolvency Act 1967 [Act 360].

Further information can be found here :

(kb means lawyerment knowledge base)

Errors made by 2 banks have caused rejection of an application for discharge two times. Where is justice for this bankrupt who has reported in to JIM the moment he was bankrupted as he is (still) a govt servant. For after 11 years, he is still a bankrupt..!!

Where is Justice..??
