Dear All,
I came across this site while I was googling more details about this company name Aiqon. So they called me up recently to tell me that they had bought over my CIMB credit card debt (which has been hanging since 8 years ago, and the principle amount that I owe was like Rm12k+the last time.) Now I received a call from Aiqon claiming that they have bought my debt from Cimb and demand me to pay up Rm57k as to date. I was shocked. The reason they gave was because of the running interest rates. (But then again my this credit card limit to use was only upto Rm15k.) Can someone please advise what should I do as CIMB only tells me to deal with them directly. Anyone here that have dealt with Aiqon before? How was your outcome. Is it better to just fight it out in court. Am struggling here. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Chanz ,

When is your last payment ? Did you check your Ctos / ccris , any legal action against you previously?

What you have talk to the debt collector ? Any documents or statement they send to you ?

@ Chanz

Case fact 1
I owe my CIMB card since 10 years ago and the principle amount was like Rm12k+

Case fact 2
which has been hanging since 8 years ago

Which of the above is more accurate?

But then again my this credit card limit to use was only upto Rm15k
Are you saying that when it reaches 15K then only you would start repaying. Well now it is 57K, can start now if you can afford.

CIMB only tells me to deal with them directly
Yes correct. aiQon is your new creditor if they can show proof of purchase ( Vesting Order) from CIMB (usually a Vesting Order via a High Court Perintah).

aiQon operations is twofold now :
a) Debts Collection Agency
b) Bad Debts Purchaser of Bank's NPLs

Anyone here that have dealt with Aiqon before? How was your outcome.
There were many in 2021 alone. Notable ones are :

a) @ Vince Sum
b) @ oldalamtam
c) @ remymikael
d) @ DELLONS

Use the Enhanced Google at the top of this webpage and google the profile name. Everything /critical info is inside their posts.

Can someone please advise what should I do

Notes :

Credit limit @12k in 2011 would have reach the bankruptcy threshold of 30K in 2016. It is a real wonder or blessed luck you were not bankrupted then. Are your dates and amount accurate? You have still retained statements or any proof of debt?

Is it better to just fight it out in court

You know How To?
It is not as so easy like you take the blue gloves and aiQon take the red gloves then box /dance ur way around the court ringside.

It is advisable for you to seek legal advise from a competent Lawyer.

Am struggling here
Water reaching your nostrils?
How many more debts / C.C. /PL /HL /HP ?

I am curious to know how was your first contact with IGONE ?

Direct approach from the Creditor or through some DC/BC representation ?

Any documents received from those contacted you ?

I think it is time for you to dig up some old files and relook at your past financials leftover. By 'relook' I mean look only and not anything beyond.

If you lost tracks your financial history, CRRIS can give you a proper start, CTOS can shed lights onto current status of debts.

@dellons

I was abroad for many years and just got back and when called the bank to settle my card they refer me to another number which then it leads to Aiqon. And yes I received the documentations from them but not a clear break down on how does the interest charges. Just a bill slap with an amount or Rm57k i owe. Thank you for the advise, I will need to contact CRRIS & CTOS. Thanks Dellons.
