One can "cancel" the marriage but have no rights to cancel the "spouse visa".
Did the sticker in her passport specified the term "Spouse Visa".

It is a VISIT PASS  of which I am very sure.

There is no such terms in Malaysian Immigration Terminology
1. Spouse Visa
2. Professional Visa
3. Student's Visa

Malaysia have
4. Spouse LTSVP  PASS
5. Professional Employment  PASS (EP)
6. Student's PASS

1,2,3 above are terms used in USA, EU but have addition words /codes attached like F1/B2 Visa. Over in Malaysia, scammers, fake travel agencies, fake employment agencies, human traffickers use these terms to cheat innocent travelers, mostly originating from source countries.

People is using Immigration Laws of some countries wrongly applying it to Malaysia. Overstay in some EU countries and USA is not a criminal offense. But in Malaysia and UK is criminal offense. Schengen Visa  Laws are not applicable in ASIAN COUNTRIES.
