I currently have a UK passport.

I found out recently that to have better control over my inherited properties in Malaysia I need to be a Malaysian citizen.

I used to have a Malaysian passport because I was born there - (I have birth certificate but I don't have IC)

Can I apply for a Malaysian passport now? I still have the old Malaysian passport but the UK home office cut off the corner of it when I applied for the UK passport.

If I apply for Malaysian passport do I need to stop using my British passport immediately or renounce my citizenship?

Thanks.
