I have already filed a Joint Petition for Divorce in the Malaysia High Court (Self Represent).

A Hearing has been conducted.

1) I would like to enquire, after the Hearing, there is a Decree Nisi before a Decree Nisi Absolute. Is it issued by the Court or I have to apply for it?

2) If I have to apply for it, is there any format I can refer to?

Appreciate your advice. Thank You.

Joint Petition is normally filed by a Legal Counsel. Who engaged the lawyer, you or your ex-spouse to be? There is an issue. There is no Malaysia High Court. Did I read correctly?

A Hearing has been conducted.
Case Management done? When? What did the Penolong Kanan Pendaftar (PKP) says?
"Hearing has been conducted" ... What is the High Court Judge's "verdict"?

Decree Nisi is declared by the High Court Judge.
Decree Nisi Absolute is issued by the Court after 3 months cooling period. It is just a piece of A4 paper with the High Court Stamp. You have to go to the Court to Extract.

There is a standard format but there could be changes if there are "lots" of terms and conditions.

Comments.. no offense..
I am a quite a retired person.
Retiree still want to divorce? Give yourself and her a break.
Any child custody and assets distribution issues?

Did the Judge grant the divorce?
What are the terms granted together with the divorce.
These terms need to be in the Decree Nisi when you type them in your computer.
After you filed the Decree Nisi, wait 3 months and then file the Decree Nisi Absolute.
Then you are a free man.

Dear vkpc,

The Judge granted the divorce.

The Terms are granted based on the Joint Petition and the Statement as to Arrangement for Children where Custody be given to the mother and the Guardianship is Joint.

Now after the Hearing, I have to file a Decree Nisi?

If I have to file, where can I get a format of the Decree Nisi and Decree Nisi Absolute?

Appreciate.

Re : I prepare and file the Joint Petition and the Statement as to Arrangement for Children to the High Court (Shah Alam ) myself. A Hearing has been conducted.

Re : This Part is the part that I am not familiar, after the hearing (after the judge deliver the verdict),

I must file a decree Nisi first? If I must file it, where can I get a reference of the decree nisi?

Re : Please excuse me for sounding a little prideful of my status as being quite retired.

You will be surprised that I am only aged 38 years old.  You don't need to be old then retire.

I have enough to spend and enough income generation to sustain my life.  After I graduated, I didn't practice what I learn because my Teacher said " You can make money from Wellness / Medicine ".  I did many business, and here am I today.

All the Asset management has been arranged before a the Divorce is filed. While Child Custody is stated in the terms of the Divorce.

Meanwhile I need all the sifu sifu in the field of Law to guide me in this.

In my perception, if I can be helpful in my field of profession, I believe others can contribute back in their field of profession and the world would be a better place.

Yes.

If I have to file, where can I get a format of the Decree Nisi and Decree Nisi Absolute ?

Look around for any friends who have more than one wife and copy their format.

If don't have any friends who have more than one wife, visit the High Court counter and ask to photostat a sample Decree Nisi.

@xeedee88,

You will get a copy of the Decree Nisi Absolute (my copy) when I come to meet you. It should be the same format with child custody in TOW.

Can the appointment be Saturday or Sunday?
