I would like to ask if it will be possible for my ex boyfriend to transfer his share of our house to me without monetary gain in Malaysia?

We are both Singaporeans who bought the house in Johor. After splitting up, we have sought out a lawyer to do the transfer. After a long waiting time, the law firm informed that the Land Registry Johor has directed the case to the Chief Minister of Johor as the Land Registry has no jurisdiction to approve.

Any advice is deeply appreciated.

Post the letter from Johor Land Registry informing that it has no jurisdiction here for checking.

Thanks very much vkpc. My law firm replied that there is no official letter, just an `internal procedure' to have forwarded my case to the Chief Minister. Wonder if my case is so rare so that it has taken nearly a year to forward it? Baffled.

Do you think the Johor Menteri Besar is so free to look at such a common transaction?
Possibly you have been taken for a ride by your lawyer.
