Is the a government centre where a person can check whether there is any existing Court Summons and Writ in the person name?

Too many debt collectors pretending to be court officers on the phone that it is hard to take the call at face value without checking the validity of their claim.

If a debt collector call you saying he is from Bank A and there is a Writ Summons, means confirm there is no Writ Summons from Bank A.

Ask the next guy that calls for your writ number and Court and proceed to that court for a file search. Court never calls anyone to inform them that they are being sued. Read you credit card, loan or hire purchase agreements with your financiers on financiers rights in the event of recovery action.
