Since several years my Malaysian friend and I spent a few months in Malaysia and a few in the Netherlands. To extend my visa I always go to Singapore with the company of my friend.

Last time (in January 2018), I went alone because my friend was very ill and couldn't come with me. This time the Immigration refused me to go back to Malaysia. They gave me a paper showing the refusal of entry to Malaysia being a prohibited immigrant under Section 8(3) of the Immigration Act, 1959/63. The officer advised me to go back to the Netherlands and I did. No further advice and no explanations about how long I need to stay there before I can go back.

I would like to know how long the legal ban-period is and if there is a possibility to return soon because my Malaysian friend is very ill and needs me there.

Thanks in advance for your answer.
