I just received the letter to attend court for "Garnishee Order to Show Cause". May I know what will happen if I don't show up at the court? I got this letter because I owed some credit cards payment and since 2 years ago I stopped payment due to financial problem.

I'm a divorcee with 2 children and last year I just had a surgery to remove a brain tumor. Now, I'm having seizures, leg weakness, short and long term memory loss.

Will bank WSS on debtor's car?

1. If car is still Hire Purchase loan, legally it cannot be seized.
2. If car is no longer under Hire Purchase loan, it is possible but unheard of in this country.
This is because a seized car has no grant so is difficult to sell.
Buyers prefer to buy repossessed cars compared to seized cars.

Hi vkpc,

May I know what does "until garnishment process is completed." means?
And "After the garnishment process is completed, you may be able to use the account again."?

Thanks a lot.

After the garnishment process is completed, you may be able to use the account again.
Hahaha.. use this account again?
A Garnishee Order is valid for 1 year, can be renewed, used multiple times, can extend without hassle!
