I am an Indian, entered Malaysia on 29 October 2017, with a eNTRI 15 days visit visa, with a plan to leave Malaysia on 10 November 2017, but unfortunately when I was near Batu Caves on 07 November 2017, people who came by bike claimed to be police took my passport and asked me go to the police station nearby. When I went there the police couldn't understand my language and I somehow told them what happened. They asked me to wait but nothing happened then I realised that my passport was stolen from me. And the police were unable to issue me a police report. After continuous personal visits I got my police report on 10 November 2017 evening at 6 pm.

It's 11 November 2017 now and 12 November 2017 being Saturday and Sunday I cannot approach the Indian High commission for emergency certificate, as my visa expires on 12 November 2017.

Can someone guide me how to proceed further to go back to India without getting any BAN for entry back into Malaysia. As the time is running out quick response is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear of what had happened to you.

Just be at your India Consulate early Monday morning with the police's report and get temporary papers. With the exit papers, go to IMMIGRATION to get Exit Pass.

For 1 or 2 days overstay, they may not fine or ban you if you can prove your delays with the date of police's report plus the 2 weekends.

It would strengthen your case if you have photographed copies of your visa and date of entry into Malaysia. A copy of your proof of purchase of air ticket and also return ticket at 10/11/2017.

Email back home to get all docs fast.

@Jeff

Thanks for your advice, just got back home.

Just paid RM73 for emergency certificate from Indian High commission (they took only 2 days for delivery), in Putrajaya Immigration office paid RM100 for special pass and got it on the same day as I went early morning 7:30am. That's all I had to spend.

Not sure if I have ban in my passport, can you please help me find out?

Yes.. I keep telling people that 2, 3 days overstayed no fines.

Post a picture of the exit docs if you still have copy here. I need to see the stamps and what codes are written there. There should be NO BAN.

Thank you very much for to follow my procedures. It worked for so many people.

And thank you for updating here. It makes my happy day.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you.

Don't have any exit documents as they took them in the Immigration at the airport. Only Malaysian Immigration exit stamp is left on my Emergency Certificate :(

So
NO. BAN

BUT the BAN and blacklisting is under your name and old passport number. Just make sure that in your new passport, it must be noted in the last page that the old passport is lost. Otherwise, in your next trip to Malaysia, they may stamp NTL and not allow you entry.

Hi Jeff,

Does it mean they will not allow me to enter Malaysia, even if I get a new passport from India with all the same details in it along with old passport number?

If yes, kindly advise me the way forward, I am planning to return to Malaysia on a trip once I get my new passport here in India.

You will be applying for a new passport with new number and your details will be the same. Just make sure that the lost passport number is documented in the last page of the New passport, then no issues. Bring along the Emergency Certificate as additional insurance. Yes you can come again.

I came to Malaysia on a visit visa. For the past 5 months, I was working for a company. The company took my passport. I have emergency matter and want to go back to India. How much do I have to pay and can I go back to India without my passport?

@ Abdullah

You are just an illegal worker here.

Go get Exit documents from your embassy and then surrender to Malaysian Immigration. There is no need passport.
