I want to apply for a job with Uber but one the requirements is no criminal offence.
When I was young, I was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code for injuring someone with a weapon. I was remanded for 1 day, pleaded guilty and was fined RM3,000.
So my question, can I apply for the job?
Does criminal offence mean being given a jail sentence OR just being punished with a fine is also included as well?

Remanded one day without criminal record should be okay. Why don't you use this opportunity and apply to see if there is a serious felony charge to clear your mind and confirm your security status once and for all?

Remanded one day without criminal record should be okay.
Wrong, when fined, there is a criminal record.
Look for other types of jobs, not Uber or Grab.
