The company I am currently attached with, ABC is recently merged with another company DEF. DEF has already a similar department / unit running similar to what I am doing. If they were to terminate one of me to save of manning labor cost, what will it be for me? A job in the company different roles?

Apply for voluntary separation scheme (VSS) and find new better job.

If they were to terminate due to redundancy, they would need to comply with the principles of Last In First Out. They could also offer you alternative positions in the Company.
