Dear sifus,

Seeking answers. Due to recently my friend got married in Japan, I had to go there to visit and celebrate with him. The problem is, I'm a Malaysian bankrupt working in Singapore and my travel permit is nearly up. I've read that the officers will check passport before allowing renew. Can someone confirm? Is there a work around this? Thanks.

JIM and your OA will not mind your traveling around as long as you pay your monthly installments on time.  Stop worrying and take care.

I have written about this topic under this thread recently. Read here  :-

The above reference is for renewal  of Travel Permit.

For your case , just pay Singapore Travel Pass of RM 3K and Japan Travel Pass of RM 3K. This is now about paying Moneys. No longer about DEPOSITs.

I've read that the officers will check passport before allowing renew.
They will sure to check to see if there are abuses to this special permit to travel overseas.
