Today is my 30th day to have a valid visa as tourist. I'm from the Philippines and I just finished my contract in UAE. The reason why I cannot exit is that my passport was taken by the Hostel that I stay for security as the reason. I owe them rental cause I run out of cash. All my belongings are still in that hostel. I'm scared on immigration issues. It's not my intention to overstay here in this country. I did try many times to talk to them to return my passport, but they refused to return it to me. They want me to pay them first. I met a Malaysian nationality and she was also in the same predicament. Her IC was taken by the hostel too. They let me signed an undertaking letter to settle the default amount from my Malaysian where if she does not pay, they will sue me on her behalf. It's my fault thus I signed the agreement because I trust her as she is a citizen here. I can't arrange for fund or make money transfer here.

Kindly advice what to do.

You and your kind do not deserve any sympathy..

Why did you sleep and share room with that woman? Sex is never free. Even for husband and wife.

A Tourist without enough funds? And there is no body in yr home country to send you money? What happened to the contract moneys.

Embassy, police, immigration cannot help you because you owe hotel moneys. On top of that, immigration will fine you, whip you, jail you and ban you from coming into Malaysia if caught walking on the streets.

One constructive suggestion. You still have photostat copies of your passport? If you have, go run in front of a slow moving vehicle. Get knock down and be admitted into a government hospital. The police there will sort out your mess.

You and yr kind do not deserve to leave carbon prints in Malaysia.

Go to your embassy for help.
Go surrender to immigration with the help from embassy officials.
Holding ppl passport is against the law but not paying hostel bills is a separate issue. Only your embassy can step in to help.
You may overstay one or two days, it costs only a fine of rm30 per day. If overstay longer and once caught by authorities, bigger fines and a possible jail term if convicted by Immigration Court.

Go to yr Embassy NOW by this afternoon. You still have time to avoid bigger problems.

No further updates from you, hence, can safely assume that you are back in The Philippines.

May I ask whether the method I taught you works better in your case than what your Embassy has taught you. What was the fines for overstay and the period of BAN (if any)?

Hi Jeff,

It's been for a while for not updating here due to no result yet, i had to follow Embassy policy as they have there own schedule to follow, and yes finally they give me the nearest date to go to Immigration with the help of my Embassy officers this July 3, They don't want me to go by myself alone there to Immigration without my travel documents on Hand.

I'm overstay for 20 days up to that date on said schedule, hopefully things will be goes smoothly for me, to all reading on this Forum used my case as reference, Jeff Sir! I will update from time to time till reach home Philippines. Thanks

Hi Jeff,

It's been for a while for not updating here due to no result yet, i had to follow Embassy policy (As per protocol ??) as they have there own schedule to follow, and yes finally they give me the nearest date to go to Immigration with the help of my Embassy officers this July 3, They don't want me to go by myself alone there to Immigration without my travel documents on Hand and without embassy officials to accompany us, they say it's my own risk to go there alone and surely they will detain me or put me to Jail, they said my passport has no validity at all, 1 day overstay is an offence already,.Yes that's right it so sad if our own embassy will advise that things and not really guiding the right thing to do.

I'm overstay for 20 days up to that date on said schedule even though  I take action right away, hopefully things will goes smoothly for me, to all reading on this Forum used my case as reference, Jeff Sir! I will update from time to time till reach home Philippines. Thanks
