As a Bankrupt who has reported in to JIM and is under the Case Management, one can apply to Jabatan Insolvensi Malaysia (JIM) to travel overseas for work purposes. They are three main types :-
1. Working overseas already

3. You have been bankrupted when you are already overseas. Immigration knows, why need to ban you when you are already out of Malaysia. Wait till come back at the autogates and see what happens next. This could explain why some ppl passport is confiscated at immigration checkpoints. What is seen at sspi2 is for public to see, but what is on immigration servers is more. For some, the parents particulars are in too.

4. Overseas employer offer letter. You can put a false one, but imm will request it to be in english or legally translated into Malay. This may require Embassy verifications for some countries. The imm may request to see the employment pass the second year. They would not want to see our citizens to work illegally in other countries. Over here we catch illegals and yet we allow our citizens to be illegals in other countries? I am working in Thailand now but no employment pass, because I found a way to by pass their immigration systems but not 100pc. Not for you as you have young children.

I've read that the officers will check passport before allowing renew.

JIM and your OA will not mind your traveling around as long as you pay your monthly installments on time.  Stop worrying and take care.

As of date, I do make payment on time and the last time I met my OA, she even said I'm doing good and to keep it up. Issue now is that my passport has stamps from other countries. And I have to renew my work permit with Insolvency soon. Will it be an issue? As I think it would be a lose lose situation if my permit gets revoked and I have to move back to Malaysia without a job and unable to pay my monthly fees. Do help me with answers if you're a lawyer or have experience. Am very concerned.

Analysis of your case

It is rude of others to confirm or comment on statements made by other forumers if one have not been thru the same situation.

can still fly off to their destination from Singapore or whichever country
Answered : It is essential for bankrupts to inform OA of any travel out of authorised destinations.
Discuss with your OA correctly.

You have been advised and forwarn-ed, why do it and then worry now?
It is not a matter of win-win or lose-lose situation, you have broken bcky laws without JIM permission to travel to other destinations. You have been given approval to travel to Spore to work there. You are a BANKRUPT, not any other ordinary foreign working migrants.

Foreign work employment permits allows one locality in most countries including Singapore. Am referring to single location and not multiple overseas travel locations. You may work in Spore but live in JB, that is 250 times per year day travel overseas, but only ONE location.

Do help me with answers if you're a lawyer
Most lawyers are not bankrupts and most do not give free advices here. Their answers will always be the same... DONOTBREAKLAWS..

Am very concerned.
Why concern now when you are aware of this issue even before reporting in to JIM last year and have been given a 6 mths travel permit? What JIM can do  now is:.
1. Terminate any overseas travel
2. Pay travel permits for all the other destinations you have been (RM3k per place)
3. Will not allow 1 year travel per application (may even shorten it to 3 mths)

You have just proven to JIM that you can run to any other countries and may not come back, therefore, they may impose other types of restrictions on any overseas travel.

Speak nicely and Tactfully to your OA..
