One of my friend is now in Malaysia. He went there on a multi entry tourist visa. After he reached Malaysia, one of his friend who is doing visa works in Malaysia promised him that he will clear his EP visa. His passport is now with his friend who said that he can't clear his visa and did not give him back his passport. Now my friend has overstayed for more that 2 months.

My questions are:
1. If he cannot get back his passport, can he approach the embassy for a one time emergency certificate to travel back to India?
2. Can he approach the Malaysia Immigration to surrender himself and get back to India?
3. And if he does so how much will be the fine amount?

Please help my friend who is in critical situation now.

They are not just 2 who has been believing in rehiring thing . They said many filipino working there with the same agent,he's said to be a chinese agent .
The Amnesty was until when and would they be banned from coming back in Malaysia even they willundergo proper and legal process from agencies for
 employment in Philippines ?
How about "Special Exit Pass" is that real? They are told to pay and have their passport chopped for an extension of visa so they can exit and go home without being banned..

They were asked to pay 1,400rm as they are 2mos overstay (still counting).Would they still be ban if they just pay that Exit Pass?
Aaiyaaa.. so cheong hei
Overstay is overstay
Fine and Ban
Go for the Amnesty pay only RM400
Dun be cheated by Bogus Agents.
Overstay rate is RM30 perday, plus others. where got RM1400? and still tick tock tick tock
What they will do will bring them to the Immigration and pocket the extra RM1,000
Then ask for more before giving the passport back to them

No need to contact me. What I have posted is enuf to go home safely. Contact me oso i will say the same thing of what I have written above.

What is yr FB id.. i will make sure u post correctly.

Mandatory requirement for foreigners to work in Malaysia

Your record will be checked and verified in your own country before you are allowed to come to Malaysia.
