How long overstay?
Normally it is RM 30 per day for ADULTS. but your son is a minor. Maybe a token sum. There is an amnesty going on for your country in Malaysia. Go for it, someone posted that it is RM 400 only.

Go enquire and register with your country's embassy fast.. now

Good Luck

Another question for a friend concern, her son also in Sabah 11 years old now. Her problem is she wants to bring his son to Philippines but the problem is her son has no birth certificate in Malaysia, no document, because her marriage was not legal and she delivered the baby in the house only. What does she need to do and what documents she needs to bring? Anyway last 2006, the mother went home to Philippines and registered her son that is why her son has a Philippine birth certificate.

Use the Philippine birth cert. Go to the embassy in sabah. Get exit docs. Then bring docs to Malaysia Immigration at sabah to get exit pass. The your embassy will guide her.

I would like to ask if you have an idea how long takes the issuance of exit pass from the Immigration? Because my boss gave me only 1 week leave from my work. Thank.

Have you check with the YOUR embassy? They are the ones to apply for the exit pass.

I thought if voluntary surrender to the Immigration, the Immigration will directly give for exit pass then pay for the penalty.
