I didn't cancel my Student Visa before dropping out of college on 22nd December last year with around 6 months left of Visa and return to my home country. My school counselor said that I will be banned from Malaysia for at least 2 (two) years, yet I didn't receive any sort of notification up till now.

I have several question regarding this matter.

1. Is this ban effective after my Visa ends, or after I got an official statement through my email?
2. Is this an access ban from entering Malaysia, or just banned from studying in Malaysia? (Can still travel, etc.)
3. Since I might have a transit through Malaysia within this month,(most probably a short time transit) will I be able to get through?

Thank you all in advance.

Simple solution. Just cancel your student visa. A letter from your ex college could settle future issues, unless your still owing fees.

Not only ban on re-entry but if the college has reported that you have absconded on your fees plus loss/destruction of lab equip, a jail term awaits you on any future trips into Malaysia.

Pay your fess if still owing.
