I am in a very bad situation right now. I am a Canadian resident. While I was doing my bachelors, I was in a relationship with a girl, and she was from Malaysia. We had an active sex life, and we were very happy with each other. But, towards the last semester, I got to know that she was simply cheating one me, just for money. And when I asked her about this, she told me that she will do anything to get money from me, and will file charge for sexual assault against me because I had used her sexually.

She has filed some charges against me, and now she has flown back to Malaysia because our exams are over. I have approached a sexual assault defence lawyers here.  I am planning to go to Malaysia, and talk to her, and I want to settle things, and I want her to take back the case she has charged against.

So, my question is, will I be able to fly to Malaysia, because I am facing charges here. If things go out of hand, I am planning to file suit against her there itself, for cheating and threatening me. So, I want to know about the laws, and how it works, for a non-resident. I really hope things get sorted out, and I am free from all the charges. She has filed false suit against me and flown back. Unless she comes back, I will not be free from the charges.

If your country allows you to travel, why can't you come here?

Get your lawyer to communicate with her.
If you come here and things go out of hand, she can lodge further reports against you.
Then you can't go home.

If she does not want to go back to Canada, there is nothing you can do.
You are dealing with a very witty woman.

If you have done nothing wrong, the charges will not stick, so you will have nothing to be afraid of.
There is no need to talk to her or ask her to withdraw the charges.
